OK so we kinda like this dress. We saw it on the Christian Dior Couture runway for the Fall collection, but couldn't include it here because the top was so sheer. But now Julianne Moore has taken it on and we're excited we can post about it. The nice thing about this dress is that most that are more covered in front and have long sleeves like this are usually completely backless. This however covers all around, which is pretty unheard of in the design world (one of the rules of thumb is if you're covered in one area, you're uncovered in another). But we have to admit we don't think it photographed as well as it looked as she moved in it on stage. Are we off of our rockers in liking it? What do you guys think?

Well, did you get them all? We figured we'd take a break from fashion week to give you the goings on of Kate Middleton (which by the way is still going). She's on an extensive tour of southeast Asia as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. And every look of hers has been oh so nice. She has very distinctly chosen designers and designs that reflect the atmosphere she is in. For instance, it's no mistake that she chose Singapore born Prabal Gurung and Singapore designer Raoul to wear while visiting that particular country. We also think her loose reference to tropical prints has been nice. We have to admit that we are very disappointed in the paparazzi after last week's messes with photos that should have NEVER been shot in the first place. It is all too reminiscent of the last People's Princess. However, we think it very cool that the news broke while she was visiting a mosque in Kuala Lumpar. We further think it amazing that she's wearing a new brand called Beulah London that has much of its proceeds go towards sex trafficking. Way to go Kate. Being a good example even if it is just a coincidence. And what a wonderful brand too! We highly suggest you check them out HERE. It's quite refreshing that most of the dresses cover quite a bit.
So there you have it! A week in the life of Kate.

Lovely, lovely Poppy Delevigne shows everyone how it's done. Here she is at the shows this Spring. And you know what? Her jacket is really similar to the one pictured by us from Mango. You can buy it here. What a great look. It's making us want that blazer....

Rosie Huntington Whitely (the Victoria's Secret model) showed up the other day to help promote her collaboration with a new brand called Autograph by Marks and Spencer. She is the newest face for the company and we have to say that she wears their brand well. That dress is quite amazing and it's for sale for 55 pounds (not quite sure what that converts to) here. Of course that belt is quite the find and it's for sale here. One of us may break down and buy it....

Dang, Jessica Biel has been looking super chic while promoting the release of Total Recall. In the first look she is wearing one of the spring Giambattsita Valli looks we loved. In the second she is wearing yet another Giambattista Valli look but this time from his Pre-fall collection. And lastly, she is wearing a look from Valentino Resort collection. We say she's got it goin on right now.

I'm sure most of us watched as fashion strangely had a part in the closing ceremonies of the Olympics this past weekend. Kate moss looked stunning in her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress while the Duchess (other Kate) looked beautiful as usual in her Whistles dress. And finally what a stunning Victoria Beckham gold dress that Georgia May Jagger wore (Mic Jagger's daughter). Gold seemed to be the glitzy color of the night, so here's a better look at that Beckham dress. And finally, yay for dresses that cover more being showcased! Cheers to the Brits!

What can we say? Isn't this picture just beautiful? We both absolutely love Marion Cotillard and this picture just seems to sum up our feelings towards her. The whole look is amazing - the coat especially (it's Burberry Prosum [of course] shown in deep purple here). But pay close attention to the shoes, since we may have just picked some up similarly. It's funny that when it's so hot outside we tend to think about cooler weather clothing, like coats. But don't get us wrong, we're not ready for summer to be over quite yet. It's just nice to think about how cool a blue quilted velvet coat would be....

We are absolutely loving this dress! Isn't it beautiful? Katy Perry was all dressed up for the Rio premiere of her movie "Part of Me" last week where she donned this amazing lace dress. Actually we're excited to eventually show you some of the Dolce and Gabbana Fall collection since beautiful lace concoctions were a main part of the designs. Until then, here's a little taste of the lace.

The Duchess looked stunning as usual in one of her repeat dresses by Roksanda Ilincic. She was attending the UK's Creative Industries Reception at the Royal Academy of the Arts two nights ago when she decided to break it out again. The last time she wore this dress was on her U.S. visit to L.A, with her hair down (here). And of course, it surely is a great dress to repeat! It's totally classic, yet still current. We might need to find something similar....

We were notified yesterday morning by Roberto Cavalli's PR team that Kristen Stewart showed up wearing his designs at the teen choice awards Sunday night. And we absolutely love the look! We love the rocker-esque outfit and the cut of the Cavalli jacket. We weren't terribly impressed with many of the other dressers that night...all the typical Hollywood garb...short, tight dresses, lots of leg and sky high platforms. Why has this become the go-to Hollywood look (think Kardashian)? We don't understand it since most things coming off the runway don't look anything like this. Isn't it interesting how the event sort of brings it out too? The celebrities must think "teen choice" so they break out the most scantily clad things they've got. When if you get a designer store opening, a Vogue party or something more chic and sophisticated, that's when you get the most interesting dressers. And that's when skin (or less is more) doesn't mean a thing.

Nikki Reed (or Rosalie from Twilight) was at an event the other day promoting the upcoming release of the final Twilight installment, and we happened to like what she was wearing. It seemed pretty simple and oh so chic. You may notice that it's very similar to Leelee's look we posted a couple of months ago, but Nikki's here is a little more amped. She's got a bit of an edgier pencil in what appears to be leather (by Robert Rodriguez) paired with a basic striped tee. We thought in general that it was some good, simple inspiration.

Speaking of "Kates" this week, here is what the Duchess wore to Wimbledon last week. We would say it's very 'tennis appropriate'. The picture below is actually her wearing the same dress last year on her Canada tour after their wedding. We have absolutely NOTHING against her wearing the same clothes (contrary to the media who always seem to chide her about it). We actually think it's awesome because we all do it. But we wanted to see the dress better, so we went ahead and put up the full length look from last year. And guess who the designer is...take a wild guess....

So Emma Stone has just been knocking all looks out of the park for her Spiderman premieres, that we had to feature her again. They just had the L.A. Premiere 2 nights ago and she again looked awesome (and oh so modest!). Here she is in a Chanel Resort 2013 dress (we saw Diane Kruger in a similar dress at Cannes here). And we have to admit those Christian Louboutin shoes are really quite cool. It's like Cinderella's glass slipper on rockstar steroids. LOVE! We think she may be coming to an end of the premieres with the release of the movie on Tuesday (July 3), so crazy enough, we'll be sad not to see her stylish red carpet images pop up anymore!

Emma Stone has been looking pretty cute in her promotion of the newest Spider Man movie coming out soon. We've definitely been impressed with many of her more demure looks seen on the red carpet around the world. For instance her Burberry Prosum look was pretty cute for one of their Tokyo events, while her Carven and Rochas looks were pretty cool as well. But we love this Lanvin dress here. She wore it for a Moscow event and we loved the color and painted look. By the way, how different it looks from the runway!

After a live performance in Las Vegas a couple of months ago, Florence Welch stepped out in the designer Tadashi Shoji to an after party hosted by MSN. Mena Suvari chose a shorter version of the same dress for an American Pie reunion around the same time. We really like both versions of the dress and think both celebs look great. Which version do you prefer?

So pretty right? Here is Kristen Bell on the red carpet before hosting the Coutnry Music Awards a bit ago. She's in such a beautiful Reem Acra dress, that we couldn't resist showing you. And you know what? We saw such a similar Chanel dress on the famous model Karolina Kurkova in Cannes a couple of weeks ago (we didin't post it since it's awfully sheer). It kind of starts to make you realize how so many clothes that designers make come from similar textile sources. We didn't fully realize the concept until we saw this and this and made the mistake of saying that one dress's maker was the other. Oh well. Don't you think it would be kind of interesting to be a textile designer? You almost dictate what's going to be in style for the next season. That's kind of cool.

So if you're unfamiliar with the CFDA Awards (Council of Fashion Designers of America), Here's a brief synopsis. It's an awards ceremony where fashion designers attend and are praised for their most recent accomplishments. The event took place on Monday and the big winners of the evening were Reed Krakoff for designer of the year and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for women's wear designers of the year. So in other words, the event is kind of like the academy awards for the Fashion world. And we're happy to present to you the more modest looks of the evening....
