Oh the tuxedo striped pant. Melody has fallen in love. We first started seeing this look come down the fall 2012 runways in shows like Phillip Lim. Just the other day we saw these at F21 and loved them. Then we remembered seeing Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr sporting similar tuxedo stripe pants. Cara is sporting her Rag and Bone jeans after a runway show here, and Miranda Kerr, here. Although there's are long gone, you can finally find the knockoffs (as we did) here and here. And what can we say we LOVE. Our new favorite pant. Oh and you've been hearing us talk about big cable knit sweaters. This one is F21, as are the sunglasses. Bag is Aldo.

Jessica Stein - Blog Highlight
Australian Fashion Week just took place and we have to admit, we had never heard of Jessica Stein before. That is until now. This look of hers made it onto Vogue's street style looks, but we noticed something...Vogue failed to mention what brand the dress was, yet mentioned her glasses, shoes etc. Why? because surprisingly, this dress is from Asos (here)! And we love the look. It just goes to show that places like Asos and other cheaper brands deserve to have a place in the world of serious style and be mixed in with other pieces. It's nice to finally see one getting some attention. Definitely check Jessica out and her blog Tuula Vintage. We are definitely new lovers of her.

Erdem Inspired
Melody was influenced by Erdem's Resort collection this year, but upon further reflection, forgot how she was influenced by it. In her head she remembered blue and tighter floral print. So here is some tighter floral print mixed with blue. You can view some of the Erdem collection here and here. We love tight floral prints and will definitely be on the look out for more. We especially loved how Erdem mixed tight prints with other tights prints in the same color family. Very cool. But yes this takes some skill, so we'll just stick to pairing ours with a solid. Blouse, Prabal Gurung for Target, skirt Forever21.

Eclectic Mix - Street Style
In preparation for some spring and summer street style, we are giving you some of the last of our shots from September's Spring fashion week. We thought this was an interesting mix. Definitely eclectic. Although we wouldn't think to wear something like this, we do see how one person's style can be totally different than another.;She also looks like a Jennifer Aniston look-alike. Don't you think?

Spring Neutrals
With the onslaught of Spring comes a bit of chilly wind and rain. Although we didn't have rain, we did have some intense wind the day we shot this. These days are exactly when you want a good trench coat. We both own trench coats and we both know that we will be using them for the rest of our lives. When an article of clothing has been classic for so long, you can guess we both will spend a little more money to make sure this piece is in our closets. Our jackets are from Banana Republic and J. Crew (you can find similar here). Although Melody felt a tad guilty one year when her husband gave this to her for christmas (the words, 'oh babes, this is kind of expensive' were some of her first), you can bet she has worn it every spring and fall since she got it. Oh and the rest of the outfit is Zara. Keep the color pallet light and airy and people will feel like Spring just walked through the door.

Beautiful Celine
Here is the last preview from us for Fall 2013. We referred to this collection from Celine in the hitchcock post, but we have to admit, this was one of our favorite collections of the season. Such clean and simple lines, yet completely sophisticated and modern-looking. We loved the use of over-sized coats (think the 60's) and the trumpet skirt silhouette. One of our favorite looks is the bigger chunky-knit sweater paired with the knee length trumpet skirt. Definitely inspired. We may have to bring these fall silhouettes into our Spring transition outfits. So nice. And who would've thought the peplum with the trumpet would be so pretty?
