As we've mentioned earlier, we're glad midi skirts are here to stay for a bit. This is a vintage pleated piece that Desirae has chosen to pair with her black leather jacket. The look sort of reminds us of Zina's chiffon pleats and leather pairing here. So don't be afraid to take the preppy pleat and button down and pair it with some leather to make it more edgy. The prep/edge concept also takes place here with Alexa Chung's look.

Happy Spring!
Happy Spring everyone! This was taken from yesterday's festivities. We feel this is kind of the essence of the holiday (although in a very secular sense). Funny enough, we didn't take any outfit posts. Just took a much needed break (the music side of our lives is killing us off slowly). Hopefully your day was as warm and sunny as ours! (oh and why don't they make this little DKNY dress in our size?)

Diane Kruger in Preen
Diane showed up in this fun Preen dress the other day on Good Morning America. Ah man, it makes you want the summer nauticals to be in full swing!

Easter Sunday
This is the week of unusuals for the two of us. Desirae was joking when she wore this that she was wearing a Melody outfit. Why? Because she rarely wears longer pencil skirts. We don't know if there is an exact reason behind this, but she just never does (similarly to Melody never wearing tunics). So here is our week of unusuals. We doubt Desirae will go so prim on Easter Sunday (it's just not really her style), but it doesn't have to stop you all. Victoria's Secret pencil skirt, Forever 21 ombre top, Zara heels and clutch.
Happy Easter to you all this weekend!

Spring Tunic
This is a bit of a departure for Melody... a tunic. We don't think she has ever worn a tunic on these pages (please correct us if they are we are wrong). But why not? We've made note of wearing longer tops with jackets, creating layering effects, and a tunic is the perfect way to do this. We really think tunic's work best with skinnies on bottom. Pairing tunics with bootleg jeans just makes the look feel heavy. Freshen it up with a nice blazer and we say you've got the layering basics down! Tunic: Target, blazer: Zara, jeans: Urban Outfitters, boots: Nordstrom
