Just a simple outfit here. Grey linen skirt, white button down, textured bag and red sailor flats. Most of these elements you've seen before in different pairings. You also can see our trusty blanket that seems to make it into many of our adventures. This was one of those idyllic summer evenings where you have the perfect sunset as you're playing frisbee on what seems like the top of the world at this particular park. All you need is a good peach or juicy watermelon and the memory is set. We're sure you all have had similar moments this year....

ROSIE HUNTINGTON WHITELY
Rosie Huntington Whitely (the Victoria's Secret model) showed up the other day to help promote her collaboration with a new brand called Autograph by Marks and Spencer. She is the newest face for the company and we have to say that she wears their brand well. That dress is quite amazing and it's for sale for 55 pounds (not quite sure what that converts to) here. Of course that belt is quite the find and it's for sale here. One of us may break down and buy it....

STELLA McCARTNEY FALL 2012
We absolutely love backstage images of the shows from our favorite designers. This is from Stella McCartney's fall show. Aren't some of these pieces awesome? We have to admit one of our favorites is that awesome sweater dress (here's a better look here). We haven't quite seen anything like it before. We also love the mixture of tweeds and cobalt blue...we definitely might have to try. It seems cobalt is a thing for the fall...so we say break it out!

SHEEPDOG CHAMPIONSHIPS
To Celebrate the start of our holiday weekend, Melody attended the International Sheepdog Championships in Soldier Hollow on Saturday. When she heard about it she couldn't resist something so foreign in nature, so made the trip out to see what it was all about. The event included sheepdogs herding flocks of sheep through a course for the fastest time under 13 minutes. At the end of the course the shepherd would step in barely to help things along and we were all biting our nails as we hoped some of the dogs could get all the sheep in the pen with some 30 seconds left. In other words, we were watching "Babe" the pig movie in real life. There were also side shows to the main event that included a show called "Dazzle Dogs," made up of dancing and semi acrobatic dogs; "Splash Dogs," dogs that would jump into a fairly large pool for the greatest distance (baited by their favorite doggie toy thrown in before them) and of course the food and drinks were a side show all their own (namely the homemade rootbeer sold in their own bottles).
A tricky event to dress for with all the fluctuating weather (from heat and sun, to eventual rain and cool), Melody chose to wear her lightweight navy blue chino trousers with military green shirt over top (inspiration here). However there was a part of her that wished she had some cool rain boots like the girl pictured above. The necklace pictured is a christmas gift from her husband made from a broken piece of the famed Mata Ortiz pottery (that the two of them are a little obsessive over). The sandals and glasses are Forever 21. Overall we say if you ever have the chance to go and see something like this, you should. It's definitely something you'll never forget. And oh! Since when did the trees start changing colors???

ASOS - Classy Clothing
We have been in love with the online shop Asos for a while now, and figured we should probably share with our readers. There are quite a few things we are loving at the moment, namely the 3 looks we posted. Obviously there are many, many more, but we had to narrow it down. For one, the top dress is $65 here. The second is $77 here, and the last peplum jacket is $60 here. We think the price range is great. Also their Plus Size and Maternity are not to be missed. We say you should check them out....

DARK FLORAL DRESS
One thing you don't realize when you see street style blogs is that there is always someone behind the camera. We're always curious as to who's taking the pictures behind the scenes for some of our favorite dressers. Because you know what? They have to be incredibly patient. When we as sisters take each others' shots we're fine to take more time for detailed photos of our accessories, shoes, etc. But when someone else gets roped into it...say a husband... you feel more like getting a shot can be awkward at less opportune times. For instance, this was taken while out to dinner with some extended family. We broke away for a second to grab the shot before the light fell. So one shot was all I got (even though said man would've been happy to take more, I felt bad). And so, here is the shot showing an old H&M dress paired with metallic flats, gold and coral bangles and boutique bag. Sometimes a good dress is all you need for a weekend night. This particular one I love pairing with black tights, a chanel-ish jacket and booties, with the onset of cooler weather. Maybe come fall we'll get to show you that look. Until then, enjoy!
