DEREK LAM PRE-FALL 2012

Did we ever show you guys these? They've been our favorite for what seems like so long now (even though they only showed around this time last year). We think they are all super gorgeous. Do you guys have a favorite?

LOVELY VALENTINO

Oh Valentino.You have been the modest girl's friend these last few seasons. We couldn't let the fashion month leave without posting some of our favorite Spring lines. And of course Valentino always seems to be near the top of that list. We feel these looks are very 30's inspired. Which is nice since so many of the other lines were very edgy (think lots of leather and graphic/bold prints). We saw these last week while we were boarding a plane and were definitely fawning over them. We know that some of the linings are a little too sheer, but please don't fault us for that. They are still so beautiful. We know we tend to gravitate towards modest evening wear (since that is what we do), but we hope one day high fashion modest evening wear is not far out of your reach.

STELLA McCARTNEY FALL 2012

We absolutely love backstage images of the shows from our favorite designers. This is from Stella McCartney's fall show. Aren't some of these pieces awesome? We have to admit one of our favorites is that awesome sweater dress (here's a better look here). We haven't quite seen anything like it before. We also love the mixture of tweeds and cobalt blue...we definitely might have to try. It seems cobalt is a thing for the fall...so we say break it out!

DIOR FALL 2012

We've been waiting to show you these looks for a while now. But we figured we'd wait until it started getting a little closer to fall. We loved the simplicity of this collection. But we also LOVED the skirt lengths! This particular length has been seen for quite a few seasons now and doesn't seem to be budging. Which is great for we modest girls! Also you guys, you have to start belting your coats. Look how chic it looks? Also...see the enhanced hip again? In these looks it's done a little more subtly, but nonetheless it's still there. And finally, where to get a metal belt like that....

MODEST LOOKBOOK - Lanvin

We just thought this was pretty dang classy...end of story. Lanvin's fall collection was definitely cool, but the bomber type top mixed with the flared skirt definitely took the cake for us. Also in a recent post coming up one of us tried to slick our hair back like so many girls do, and we just think it looks horrible on us. Do you guys feel like there are hairstyles that you just can't pull off? Please tell us we aren't alone....

MARCHESA RESORT 2013

So we're definitely having a dressy monday. We have to say that we're pretty glad that all types of sleeves are the rage at the moment. These looks are ultra fab. Georgina Chapman over at Marchesa sure knows how to make a great dress! We wonder which Hollywood A-listers will sport them on the red carpet soon. Until then, enjoy!
