What is summer without white dresses? Wearing all white is very on trend now and the Modest Girl needn't miss out on all the pretty, pristine looks. Here are three inspirational looks from top to bottom: Astrid Berges-Frisbey wearing Chanel Haute Couture; a pleated dress from the Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2011 runway, and Kate Bosworth in Jill Sander. So pretty, right?

Hmmm...metallics in the summer? What do you think? Miu Miu did it on the the Spring 2011 runway...We just considered, what does one wear to an urban evening out in the summer? Not everyone feels like or wants to wear floral print everything just because the weather got warm. Here we gave this metallic Simply Vera Vera Wang skirt a more casual summer spin with a Frenchie tee from Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters motorcycle jacket and sandals from Zara. Do you think it works?

This vintage skirt combines two sweet trends, accordion pleats - as were shown on the spring runways of Lanvin, Elie Tahari, and Calvin Klein - and spring florals. What else can you add to your favorite floral skirt? How about an unexpected menswear vest in a neutral color? Somehow it works. The top is H&M, and the vest is Alice Temperly for Target.

We've decided to share two red carpet evening looks we're liking lately. The first is the actress Paz Vega at the 2011 Shanghai Film festival proving that modesty can be all out glamorous with long sleeves and sequins. The seconds is Drew Barrymore wearing Chanel in a simply effortless yet elegant evening look. We are adoring the skirt and think the length is pitch perfect for a summer evening out.

Ahh, the denim cut-off. What would summer be without our favorite cut-off's? We favor cut-offs that actually look like you cut your favorite jeans into shorts, whether you actually did or not, so that they hug your body like your favorite jeans. Here, we decided to dress the shorts up a bit with a vintage blouse, chain shoulder bag and heels from Forever 21.

The shift dress has a new shape - loose and boxy. Designers like Stella McCartney and Calvin Klein featured this shape beautifully on their spring runways. The new shift feels modern, urban and minimalist. We prefer crisp, clean, black accessories to play up the clean shape of this shift dress. Dress H&M, bag and heels Forever 21.

Brilliant jewel tones from the Gucci Spring 2011 runway inspired this pairing of cobalt and emerald. We used gold accessories, as they did at the Gucci show, to help set all the color off and to lightly reference the 70's Disco Era. Skirt and silk blouse are vintage, necklace is H&M, heels Nine West.

What better way could there be to freshen up your floral skirts from seasons past than to pair them with your favorite denim shirt? We've decided that a denim shirt goes with just about everything nowadays. Seriously. A denim shirt can go with nearly every color of denim, all the florals around, and can even be worn with sequins, satin and gold (if you accessorize it right!). You can dress your favorite denim top up with heels and jewels or dress it down with sandals and a casual bag - whatever strikes your fancy. We did a little bit of both here. Skirt and top both H&M, necklaces Target and Forever 21, sandals Madden Girl by Steve Madden.

Given our desire to be tasteful with our use of color, this is quite the daringly colorful look for us. We feel it works when a solid colored top is paired with the brilliant persimmon patterned skirt. Notice the second pattern on the shoes in a similar color family to the skirt. Love these cute little ankle strap flats from Nine West.

Aren't these looks from the Spring 2011 Look Book for J.Crew absolutely perfect? The layering and sweetness are so spot on - loving the socks, the messy hair, the rugged/feminine combo and of course the red lips. These looks are just what spring/summer 2011 ordered.

Floral prints always feel right when spring and summer come around. Floral dresses are especially easy and comfortable when warm weather hits. This pretty, cotton, floral print dress from H&M is a perfect substitute for the ubiquitous cut-off denim short come summertime. When accessorizing floral prints, keep it simple - you really don't need more than a cardigan and you favorite sandals and you're ready to go.
